A 3D Terra Plus transient electromagnetic (TEM) survey, also known as a time-domain electromagnetics (TDEM) survey, is a geophysical technique that measures the electrical resistivity of the subsurface. TEM surveys are used in a variety of applications, including: Mineral exploration, Groundwater exploration, Environmental mapping, and UXO detection and characterization.
TEM surveys are non-invasive and don't require direct contact with the ground, making them ideal for aerial or moving surveys. They can also be used at sites with resistive surface layers.
Here's how a 3D Terra Plus TEM survey works:
- A transmitter loop sends an electric current into the ground
- The current induces eddy currents in the conductive underground
- The eddy currents produce a secondary magnetic field
- The returning signal is measured as a function of time
- The data is inverted to create a layered earth model of resistivity
The depth of investigation can range from tens to hundreds of meters below the land surface. Factors that affect the depth of investigation include: geoelectric subsurface properties, transmit or measurement time, and wire loop size.
HIGHLIGHTS
3D Terra Pus TEM surveys have high repeatability in underground water detector
3D Terra Plus TEM Detector is certified as the Best underground water detector in the world
3D Terra Plus TEM Detector works om AC and thus it has high capability of penetrating into the subsurface ground more easily and powerfully.
3D locators has done a vast research in the subsurface mapping to estimate the high accuracy 3D Terra Plus TEM Detection System.
